Introduction

The DLT-V4 tape drive delivers enterprise-class features along with an enhanced 320GB* capacity and a speed of 20MB/sec* – all at an amazingly affordable price. The DLT-V4 drive ensures vital business data is protected and secure at the lowest cost per gigabyte in its class at just $0.12/GB. The DLT-V4 is compatible with an installed base of a half-amillion drives and provides three generations of backwardread compatible. It uses DLTtape® VS1 media with backward compatibility to the DLT VS160, DLT VS80 and DLT1 tape drives and also has added DLTSage WORM™ archival functionality using standard media. The DLT-V4 easily integrates into today’s entry-level servers with a half-height format and your choice of interfaces – SATA II, USB 2.0 or Ultra 160 SCSI.

The DLT-V4 is equipped with DLTSage™, a suite of intelligent data protection tools that enable you to more effectively manage and protect your tape storage environment. And, for added security, the DLT V4 now ships standard with DLTSage Tape Security allowing users to create electronic keys to prevent unauthorized access to data on the tape cartridges.
