Do you have an uncooperative mouse? Does it skip and jam and cause frustration? Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical is the solution. We've replaced that old-fashioned mouse ball with an IntelliEyeTM optical sensor that tracks movement 2,000 times per second -providing smooth and precise motion.

No mouse ball means no moving parts to clean or wear down. And, the optical sensor is sealed in to keep out the dirt and lint that can cause a traditional mouse to skip or jam.

IntelliEye Optical Technology

The IntelliEye optical sensor reads through dirt, dust and fingerprints. You no longer need to use a mouse pad.

No Mouse Ball-Stays Accurate Over Time

Mice that track movement using rubber balls need to be cleaned frequently because dust and lint can make the mechanism stick or skip. The IntelliEyeT sensor has no moving parts, so your mouse is smooth and precise.

Wheel for Scrolling and Zooming

Save time and steps. Move through documents by simply rolling the wheel forward or backward-instead of clicking on a scroll bar. Use the wheel to see either close-up or big-picture views without having to use menus or toolbars (in compatible applications).

To use Microsoft Wheel Mouse with the scroll wheel you need:

• One of the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows® 95, Windows 98, Windows NT® Workstation 4.0 Service Pack 3 or later, or Windows NT Workstation version 4.0 operating systems
  
• 30 MB of available hard disk space
  
• Round mouse port (PS/2-compatible)

Note: the zoom function works in Microsoft Office97-compatible or later applications.
