Introduction
The
low-profile MegaRAID SAS 8308ELP addresses the growing
demand for RAID in high-density rack-mount chassis
environments. With support for both SAS and SATA
II drives, the eight-port MegaRAID SAS 8308ELP provides
greater deployment flexibility with support for
up to 16 devices using SAS expanders. Offering data
transfer rates of up to 3Gb/s per port, a PCI Express
host interface, 128MB DDR SDRAM, a high-performance
I/O processor, and remote battery backup support,
the MegaRAID SAS 8308ELP delivers the performance
and availability required by enterprise class applications.
Additional high-availability features include support
for all key RAID levels, Online Capacity Expansion
(OCE), RAID Level Migration (RLM) and Patrol Read.
