The
Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series Supervisor Engine
II-Plus-10GE is a 10 Gigabit Ethernet supervisor
engine running Cisco IOS Software that meets
the needs of value-conscious enterprise and
service provider customers. This supervisor
engine has been optimized for high-performance
enterprise wiring closets and service provider
access and aggregation needs. Medium-sized
enterprises, education customers, small and
medium-sized businesses (SMBs), and service
providers can all benefit from the supervisor
engine's resilience and intelligent control
of converged data, voice, and video networks.
The Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series Supervisor
Engine II-Plus-10GE delivers non-blocking
Layer 2-4 intelligent services to help enable
power-resilient, enhanced Layer 2 switching
solutions for converged networks. It allows
customers to deploy network-wide intelligent
services, such as advanced quality of service
(QoS), comprehensive security, and management
with optimal control and resiliency. Compatible
with the Cisco Catalyst 4503, Cisco Catalyst
4506, and Cisco Catalyst 4507R chassis, and
with existing Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series line
cards, the Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series Supervisor
Engine II-Plus-10GE helps to ensure an extended
window of deployment of the modular Cisco
