Introduction
The
3Com Baseline Switch 2250 delivers highly
affordable wirespeed Layer 2 switching for
small to mid-sized networks that don't need
management capabilities. The switch includes
48 10/100 switching port and two dual-purpose
ports for copper or fiber Gigabit connections.
Choose between running high-speed 10/100/1000
for fixed copper network backbones or servers
or Gigabit SFPs (Small Form-Factor Plug-in)
with 1000BASE-LX or -SX transceiver modules
for connections to fiber backbones or servers.

Description 3Com Baseline Switch 2250 Plus
48PT 1000BT/2 SFP (3C16476BS/3C16476BSUS/3C16476BS-US)
- Advanced
switching features such as IEEE 802.1p traffic
prioritization with two Class-of-Service
(CoS) priority queues make sure that real-time
applications such as video and audio take
priority so they run effectively, and enable
the switch to operate in larger network
environments.
- Auto
MDI/MDIX ports identify and adapt to the
Ethernet cable type, eliminating the most
common cabling errors and simplifying installation.
Autosensing ports detect and adjust to the
speed of the connected device to optimize
network performance. The switch is designed
to operate as a free-standing or rack-mounted
switch with included mounting kit. The standard
19-inch, one rack-unit-high (1 RU) enclosure
optimizes valuable office space. Its sturdy
design and construction pays off in high
reliability and long service life.
- Fixed-configuration
design makes the switch easy to install
right out of the box
- Two
built-in 10/100/1000 Gigabit copper ports
support high-speed connections for use as
uplinks, or connections to servers or other
switches
- Two
Gigabit SFP transceiver slots support multimode
shortwave fiber (1000BASE-SX) or multimode
longwave fiber (1000BASE-LX) connections;
mix and match SFP transceivers for media
support flexibility
- Non-blocking
performance means the switch operates at
full wirespeed on all ports, delivering
unimpeded access to networked resources
- IEEE
802.1p traffic prioritization allow networks
to run real-time multimedia applications
more effectively by reserving bandwidth
for time-sensitive traffic and enables the
switch to operate in larger networks
- Auto
MDI/MDIX on all ports simplifies installation
- Easy-to-read
front panel LEDs give at-a-glance status
and network information to simplify diagnostics
and troubleshooting.
- One
Rack Unit (1RU) form factor optimizes rack
space
- Manufacturer
Warranty Limited lifetime warranty
